This butterfly is rarely seen, as it does not go to flowers, but instead, it loves to fly high in the forest canopy feeding from rotten wild fruit or from tree sap. When you see it flying, it is so fast, as a flash, you can only see an electric blue, or a dramatic aqua sunny thing passing very fast. These two colours are iridescent and combine stunningly well, as only nature can do.
I encase the wings in resin and i have used two sterling silver hooks to complement them. This species is rarely found in jewelry.
Wings measure approximately 4.5 cms long by 2.5 cms through the widest part.
