Drop Earrings Blue Sterling Silver

These earrings are very special; they are made of real butterfly wings.  These wings belong to the butterfly Blue Morpho (M peleides) and to make this teardrop shape i carefully cut it by hand virtually without touching it.

I breed butterflies and make these earrings after the butterfly has lived a full life.

As not all the wings end in perfect conditions, if i find wings that are perhaps broken o torn, i cut them in shapes to rescue the beautiful colours, and the i encase them in resin and hang them from also handmade sterling silver pins that i twist by hand to make the hooks.
