These earrings are made of two front wings of White Morpho (Morpho polyphemus) butterfly. They have a subtle pearly hue and some degree of transparency. These are Large. They hang from Sterling Silver handmade French hooks.
Our breeding farm is the only known source of Morpho polyphemus pupae for Butterfly Houses around the world, so if you visit and see White Morphos, you can be certain that they came from El Salvador. These wings are used once the butterflies have naturally completed their lives. Most of them are collected in our breeding areas, but some, in the surrounding protected forest lanes.
